“An oasis of calm and comfort for the whole family.“ That is one way to summarize the personality of this house. Set in a privileged area near Zurich, one of Europe’s most cultural and cosmopolitan cities, the beautiful views become the undoubtful protagonists in the life of the locals.
The house, with gorgeous views to the lake, was designed to be a warm and comfortable home for a couple and their little ones. The provincial style was used so that the family members would be able to enjoy their free time and the natural beauty which the area offers.
The owners had in mind a comfortable, full of light house, with light and warm colours as the predominant element. This premise guided all the work that Abraxas Interieur did, leadered by its founder Christian Baumann, architect and executant of the work.
“The idea was to create ample, generous spaces with few divisions where family life could flow with normality,“ states Baumann, who knew how to find each and every one of the necessities of the couple and their two children.
Wide rooms, such as the kitchen, were created with family reunions in mind, but the designer also paid careful attention to the more private rooms, so that each member of the family could have their own personal universe. In the children‘s rooms, wide spaces for storage were used, so that toys and other personal objects would not be left in sight and the house could recover its order in very few minutes.
The furniture choice as well as the rest of elements that make the house what it is, reflecting a certain provincial look, do it without detracting from the aspect of timeless elegance.
