Functional and simple

"I don't like to fill spaces with useless objects". With such a categorical view Alejandra Calabrese projected her present home in Madrid's center.

Professional architect and vocational painter, Calabrese showed preference for an open loft, diaphanous, "functional and simple" in which the selection of furniture and other objects are in "harmony with the space that surrounds her".

Although her ideal home is still to arrive, "I would love to live surrounded by nature", this young arquitect has not given up on the idea of creating a small inner garden next to fountain whose water murmur accompanies her while she cooks for friends, works in her study or is inspired to paint.

An Ingo Maurer lamp is perhaps one of her fetiche objects. "Subtle, discreet… a piece of fabric and a light bulb. Little is needed for a good design".
