"The greatest pleasure for me is when clients tell us we’ve turned their home into a sanctuary," says interior decorator Alex Papachristidis. Known for the freshness, surprise, imagination and creativity of his designs, he is able to turn his clients’ dreams into reality.

His projects embody sophistication and timeless elegance. His goal with all of them, he states, is to "create beautiful, comfortable interiors for my clients to enjoy, reflecting their individual tastes.”

Papachristidis is a lover of many different materials and fabrics: ”I adore both luxury and simplicity. I like prints as well as Braquenies from Pierre Frey and Lemanachs from Claremont. Favorite solids include Canovas silk velvets, Brunschwig satins, Lee Jofas wool sateens, and Cowtan’s cotton wovens and textures.“

His enormous capacity to work with different resources and his knowledge of different styles allow the designer to juxtapose an original modern aesthetic with rich decorative traditions.”It’s very important that my decorating feel timeless. A mix of modern and traditional elements come together to define my signature style.”

The interior decorator likes to complete his projects with small but important objects for his clients: ”something individual that expresses your taste or makes a home your own, whether it be art, exceptional furniture, great objects or amazing books.”

A defining characteristic in the work of Papachristidis is his perfectionism. Beneath every meticulously chosen detail of each interior he creates, there is a strong common denominator: Papachristidis’s unwavering passion for different styles and his love for his profession.
