In this apartment, decorated by interior designer Anna Dodonova, the main idea was neither to give up on the functionality, nor to make a cold and impersonal house. Being a newly constructed building with low ceilings, the light effects were essential to create a fresh and natural environment, while keeping it classic and elegant at the same time. In order to achieve this, the interior designer chose neutral shades and fine materials for the decoration.

The sitting room is the soul of the home, enticing us to spend countless hours in the utmost calmness. Playing with contrasts, Anna Dodonova went for black and white combinations, always eternal and elegant, and it was a great choice, as the brightness that shines through the house makes it possible to use intense colours with no risk of minimizing spaces.

The most relevant piece in the dining room is a majestic armchair designed by Dodonova in order to show both sophistication and functionality at the same time. One of the main pillars for this interior designer is going for the functionality-modernity pairing, thus creating houses that are very singular, but not at all far from contemporary life.

The original details distributed in every room are noteworthy, especially the ones in the master bedroom, feminine and cute. What really attract the attention are its headboard, the armchair with comic-like upholstery and the fronts of the cream-lacquered wardrobe, decorated with a shoe—a clear reference to femininity.

Little concessions to non-extravagant luxury make the owners’ dream of living in an extremely personal environment true, turning each one of their trips to the city of the Thames into a very pleasant one.
