Private universe
Douglas Mackie London's residence certainly captivates us by plenty reasons: its palette, with warm and comfortable colours, the great collection of art pieces purchased in New York or Paris and an accurate order where there is no place for the superfluous.
The cozy sitting room atmosphere's is the perfect place for those moments of meditation, to have a break after an ardous day or to chat with friends as well. For the designer, this room becomes the ideal framework to store up his most precious memories, "like it was a diary" .
For his house, Mackie has left aside a particular style as he prefers to be surrounded by objects with a personal history or with a certain artistic value. These objects give the dwelling an image which lasts for a lifetime and in our memories.
This interior decorator is fond of shops like Yves Gastou in Paris, Guinevere in London or Gallery BAC in New York. Undoubtedly, places where we may find pieces from a special beauty and singularity, like those that himself purchases for his favourite places.
