Sheer Calm

Sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between renovation and art, between technique and talent. In the work of Francesc Rifé it is useless to look for this syllogism because he meets to perfection all the details, managing to polish the uncut gems until finding the wanted piece of jewelry.

The future in which we already live tends to show to us constantly which is the suitable balance between the substratums of the past and the latest avant-gardes. Here we have the challenge of Francesc Rifé in this old Catalan country house used as a shelter for a large family and situated in a village with only four inhabitants.

In his work in Olivella, he achieves a healthy balance between the modernity that implies the wanted comfort of these days and the most domestic details that make us remember that sensation of withdrawal ,so necessary for the rest and the enjoyment.

The studied illumination, whose warmth plays with the materials until extracting from them all their magnificence and nature, tops all that means the design of a visionary.
