Meticulous geometry Tweet
Francesc Rife presents in this loft in Barcelona “a reinterpretation of the functional nature of the spaces, emphasized by a well-balanced geometry in the arrangements of the different volumes that make up the furniture”.
The kitchen is the most distinguished room. It is faced to the courtyard to get more luminosity. We can find in it a piece of furniture with a continuous surface made to measure in DM lacquer and oak floors, all in white and grey tones.
Rife uses sliding doors to separate the rooms along the corridor, getting “an indirect light that is projected from the rooms strategically”.
The bathroom complements the modular unit in the bedroom, distinguished by the different flooring, and has an oak washbasin that cover the hole space to the big shower tray, that is integrated in the own limestone.
The use of neutral materials and minimalist furniture, as the main oak table in the living-room, grants a multifunctional character, some sobriety and a perfect balance to the apartment.
