A refuge for imagination Tweet
Fantasy and originality flood each creation of the designer Olga López de la Vera.
The magic spreads through her children’s rooms achieving a balance between the usefulness of the space and the likings of her young clients, looking especially for ”a functional tale’s world.”
When it comes to design the children’s universe, López del la Vera bears in mind ”the character of the child and the things he likes.”
She believes that perfection in children’s rooms is achieved when ”the child is able to play with no limits and develop his creativity.”
She fulfills this vision by making from the youth bedrooms a real refuge, creating for adolescents a comfortable and safe environment and, if possible, separating the zones of study and play from the rest one.
The designer’s most important purpose is represented by natural fabrics, neutral colors and warm and resistant materials. All that in order to make ”the spaces develop the same way children do” .
Each room has to adapt to its little owner and to his personality: “There are no more blue-colored rooms for boys and pink for girls. Now any combination is possible.”
