A hot cup of coffee is steaming in the kitchen while the chirping of birds works as our alarm clock. Here, in the Cotswolds region, the course of life works at a different speed than the one we’re used to in the big cities.

A small family of ducks glides on a beautiful lake, and upon its cold and crystal clear waters, Nature reflects her beauty in a dance of colours ranging from green to toast-brown, to reds and oranges.

Tranquility is predominant. Beauty: the characteristic which defines this project done by Jade Jagger for YOO, an interior design company that works different concept in the world of high-end decorations. Created by John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck, YOO works as a display window for other famous international designers, like Kelly Hoppen, Marcel Wanders and Anouska Hempel, to show their know-how and their particular vision of interior decorating.

This exclusive housing community, which function as a second home, spreads over more than two million square meters, in an absolutely privileged area. Each of these houses has been decorated by a different designer, so as to maintain the exclusivity philosophy which the constructors planned for their clients alive.

For this project, Jade Jagger wanted to imprint a touch of sensitivity in the decoration, making it practical but also adding small decorative treasures which go beyond the present times. With their help, the designer manages to add a glamourous-like mood to each of the rooms.

”My inspiration when I started to decorate this second home came from the idea that I have of family life in the countryside. All this, without completely forgetting the sophistication of the city, or the comfort of modern lifestyle. I wanted an elegant space, modern and at the same time welcoming,” states Jade Jagger.

Intuitive and with great creativity, Jagger takes nurture from her studies of Arts and her jobs as a jewelry designer to display her ideas in the domain of interior design, managing, with this project, a perfect equation between luxury and comfort, urban and country.

Spaces wide open to the lake, neutral tonalities in walls and floors, and small but important grants to colour through pieces of exclusive design, all turn this residence into the dreamed refuge.
