A home for the enjoyment Tweet
Los Ángeles based interior designer Jamie Bush stamps his fresh and energetic design to this ranch style home built in 1940 and located in Southern California.
His client Nina Jacobson, a high profile entertainment executive and her partner Jen Bleakley, wanted a ”playful modern home” where both women and their three children could live comfortable and "have fun" at the same time, delegated Bush to completely remodel and furnish the house.
For the remodel, Bush worked in collaboration with architect Bruce Bolander. Together, they conceived a space for the enjoyment. Bolander designed the addition of a screening room, pool and pool pavilion to the ranch.
Jamie Bush created modern environments, very feminine and colorful, playing with unexpected mixes of colors and textures, achieving a home that symbolizes, like no other, sophistication and elegance.
”We used a base palette of natural neutrals, Walnut cabinetry, bleached wood floors and doug fir ceiling, cork wall coverings, and bone colored walls,” says Jamie Bush.”Within this natural shell we infused pops of saturated colors and textures and brought these colors out to the exterior to blur the inline between indoor and outdoor living spaces.”
The result is a fun and friendly home where each element appears unique. A project that radiates joy and vivacity.
