Master class on style and good taste Tweet
Generously open to the outside, set in one of the best areas in London, Regent’s Park, and with a lot to work on. Such was the project interior designer Louise Bradley had to deal with when she accepted the challenge of turning a wonderful house into a jewel of interior design, much to the delight of its owners.
“The property certainly had generous natural lighting but the space looked old and impractical for current life. It was about turning the house into a clean and contemporary home, providing it with a truly modern image”, Louise Bradley recalls.
It is not an easy task for those who get inside the decoration world. However, the designer’s exquisite taste and her strong know how made the transformation feasible, thanks to a working outline which was carefully conceived right from the start.
Sophisticated and natural fabrics, little accessories that open doors to the world of affordable luxury, personal details distributed around each of the rooms, attractive but timeless furnishing and respect for the building’s architecture. These were some of the elements Bradley played with in this project, until the house became a cosy-looking functional stage.
A perfectionist in her job, the designer never gives up on the quality of the materials, as these are of special relevance in the final result of a project. She even goes for custom-made furniture not only because the tastes and characters of her clients are reflected on these pieces, but also because it contributes to working with the spaces.
The interpretation Bradley does of interior design transports us to comfortable and warm environments, with a magnificent and tasteful stamp that goes beyond time. A remarkable lesson in style and good taste.
