Medieval and contemporary
Situated in an old building of the 16th Century, the characteristic feature of the new showroom by Stua in Paris is no doubt its ground floor, a beautiful 12th Century cellar.
Its arched ceilings, built entirely with stone, are useful as the idyllic stage for the modern and completely contemporary exhibition that characterizes the Spanish firm.
The sample designed by Jon Gasca, the artistic director from Stua, tries to get a contrast between the old and historical and a minimalist and contemporary furniture.
Black ceilings, polished concrete floors and white walls offer “a larger visual spaciousness”, giving some dramatic touch to the whole.
