Personal rubbing
It is a cold winter evening. The fire in the fireplace warms up the room and the background music is heard among clinks of glasses and the laughter of the closest friends.
This is how we can imagine a special soirée at Toni Espuch’s house. Espuch, considered a fetish interior decorator by many, is a lover of furniture with a character that preserves some reminiscences of the past. He is also a collector of the most unsuspected objects, like narwhals: ”I am mad about them, I don’t know why, but I find them magnificent.”
Without opting for a particular style, although always keeping an eye on trends due to his profession, Espuch has managed to reflect in his centenary attic something eclectic, with old pieces combining perfectly with more avant-garde elements.
This wonderful house is designed as one single space, with a warm palette in the furniture which takes away the coldness of its industrial esthetics, and full of very personal objects ”that give life” and are the result of an eager and cosmopolitan character.
